Amend Part 2 of Article 6 of Chapter 7 of Title 17.  Relating to issues of insanity and mental in competency.  This bill provides that the committing court may have discretion to allow evaluation in the community for certain defendants, that the committing court can order an evaluation of the defendant, and that the committing court can conduct a civil commitment hearing on the defendant.
